Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc. has acquired
MSI Systems Integrators. This is an interesting buy to the Power Systems-focused community because both organizations are large, well-respected value-added resellers, a.k.a. systems integration firms, a.k.a. IT services firms. When it comes to new technology and solving problems for customers, both of these players have their hand in a lot of IT action in the United States.
Sirius, which is headquartered in San Antonio, has about 700 employees, which makes it just a bit larger than MSI's 400 employees. MSI is headquartered in Omaha. The combined company will boast more than a 1,000 employees, 4,500 technical and professional certifications, with a sales and technical team available in all 50 states. In addition, MSI brings eight Technology Enablement Centers where it shows off new technology to clients.
With the acquisition, Sirius will have pro forma annual revenues exceeding $1 billion annually.
“Our companies have similar core values, client focus and industry-leading partners,” notes Joe Mertens, president of Sirius. “MSI also complements Sirius’ strategic initiatives with innovative services, Technology Enablement Centers, and certified, experienced professionals in key technologies. The resulting company will have outstanding financial strength, national depth, unparalleled technical skills, and world-class solutions from leading technology manufacturers.”
